1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LaneMind ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

LaneMind is a desktop application that provides real-time AI-powered coaching for Dota 2 using Valve's official Game State Integration (GSI) API. The Service reads publicly available game data, analyzes it using artificial intelligence, and displays coaching advice through an external overlay. LaneMind does not modify, inject code into, or interact with the Dota 2 game client.

3. Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and promptly update it if it changes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

LaneMind offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period. Prices are subject to change with reasonable advance notice.

5. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

LaneMind allows users to connect their own API keys from third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google). When using BYOK, your data is sent directly to the chosen AI provider and is subject to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy. LaneMind is not responsible for how third-party AI providers handle your data when using BYOK mode.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; (b) use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation; (c) redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the Service; (d) attempt to circumvent any security measures or subscription restrictions; (e) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service; (f) impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of LaneMind — including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, and user interface design — are the exclusive property of LaneMind and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Dota 2, Steam, and related trademarks are the property of Valve Corporation. OpenDota and STRATZ are independent third-party services and their trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. AI coaching advice is generated algorithmically and should not be relied upon as infallible — it is intended as a supplementary training aid.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaneMind and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to LaneMind in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
